Religion can influence a person to make a choice

Ethical dilemma was the main topic discussed in week 8. This was a very useful and interesting topics for me. I think each one of use has already experience an ethical dilemma. We as young students are experiencing many ethical dilemma in our youth, but sometimes we are not aware of it. some of us do not know what ethical dilemma is and how we face it.

Ethical dilemmas, also known as moral dilemmas, are situations in which there are two choices to be made, neither of which resolves the situation in an ethically acceptable fashion. We have to be careful to identify ethical dilemma, because there are many kind of dilemma like political dilemma, romantic dilemma or cultural dilemma and so on. So ethical dilemmas are those which involve ethics.

Making a choice while facing an ethical dilemma is not easy and the reason is that there are for example to choices and each choice is equally right or wrong. So the possibility of being right or wrong is the same for both choices. This is the challenge in dealing with ethical dilemma. If making choice is easy then it means that there are two choices which one of them is right and the other one is wrong. In this case we cannot say that is an ethical dilemma. Ethical dilemmas are always difficult to solve.

I personally have faced many ethical dilemmas in my life and I each time I made a different choice. Sometimes it was right and sometimes not. But according to my own experience it is really difficult to make a decision in an ethical dilemma, because it is about judging between right and wrong, is about deciding to do something or not and it is about the potential impact of or decisions and actions.

I think that making a choice while facing an ethical dilemma differs in people. For example if I face an ethical dilemma maybe I choose A but my roommate might choose B. In my opinion no one can say either of us is right or wrong because we each make our choice base on our principles, understanding, culture and some other factors. In face there are many factors that influence people’s decision making in ethical dilemmas. Even religion can influence a person to make a choice.
