The discussion of the last tutorial of current affairs was about globalization and global warming. As we already discussed about globalization and I had already submitted a reflective dairy on it. Now it will be better to write about global warming. At present time, one of the most notable topic of current affairs is global warming. When we discuss about current affairs the term global warming always emanates in front us. It has occupied a huge scope over current affairs.
The assumption global warming originated in 1896 when Svante Arrhenius, a Swedish chemist, developed the theory that carbon dioxide emissions from the burning of fossil fuels would cause global temperatures to rise by trapping excess heat in the earth’s atmosphere. It is an average increase in the temperature of the atmosphere near the Earth’s surface and in the troposphere, which can contribute to changes in global climate patterns. A world-wide study shows that the average temperatures of the earth has raised by as much as 0.2 degree Celsius every decade. The rise in temperature is due to global warming, which has now become an imminent threat and one of the biggest problems in the world.
In general, Global warming is caused by many things. But we can categorize them into two main causes Natural causes and man-made causes. Natural causes are causes created by nature. It involves climate changes, release of methane gas from animals and agriculture such as rice paddies and from arctic sea beds, volcanic eruptions, sunspots, wobbly earth, greenhouse gases, ozone depletion, aerosols in atmosphere etc. all these natural causes are responsible for increasing global warming.
But man-made or human causes probably do most of the damage. Under this category Unnecessary Travel, Waste of Energy, all kinds of pollution (air, water, sound), deforestation, more transportation, more industries, use of chemical, use of fuel etc. in fact, the real truth is that all these causes are making the world inappropriate for living.
The effects of Global Warming is very dangerous for our existence and survival. The sun’s scorching heat comes to earth in a direct way. Therefore, the earth’s surface becomes seriously heated. Agriculture, forestry and fishery is seriously be damaged. This can catastrophically reduce mankind’s ability to grow foods, destroy wildlife, while some insects which spread disease might become more common. Global Warming also cause sea-water to swell up.
This could result in the flooding of low lying coastal areas and cities, such as Egypt, the Netherlands, and Bangladesh. Some countries might even disappear completely! Another problem caused by global warming is changing in weather patterns. Many areas of the world are experiencing increased hurricanes, floods, and other unusual weather. The alarming world’s climate is very dangerous for mankind and ecological balance.
In addition, if global warming increase in such way it will be very difficult for us to remedy. Because it is like the perilous disease AIDS. So Prevention is always better than cure. Human contribution and efforts can certainly prevent and control this global warming. It can be best carried out by checking atmospheric pollution. Wood should be used as little as possible, because wood maintains vast reservoirs of fixed but readily oxidization carbon. Avoid products that come with excess packaging, especially molded plastic and other packaging that can’t be recycled. People should not be allowed to cut off trees which causes deforestation. Rather they should be advised and suggested to plant more and more trees in accordance with their capability and convenience. People should be made aware of it. Mills, factories, brick-fields should be set up in a very good planned way. There should be well drainage system to pass away waste materials, wastage’s and poisonous chemicals.
Eventually, global warming is very dangerous for mankind and ecological balance. If it is not controlled, no men, animals will be able to live, grow and flourish. So, we should try maintain the ecological balance to decrease the effects of Global Warming. We don’t need to wait for governments to find a solution for this problem. Each individual can bring an important help adopting a more responsible lifestyle: starting from little, everyday things. We should put serious effort to overcome the problems. We need try our best to solve the problem and strive as much as possible to reinstate our earth for sake of future generation. It’s the only reasonable way to save our planet, before it is too late.
