Reflection dairy about globalization by Biplob hossain(102120528)

One of the most remarkable topic of current affairs is globalization. Globalization is a series of social, economic, technological, cultural, and political influences that promote interdependence and growth. Globalization raises the standard of living, spreads technological knowledge, and increases political liberation. Globalization is a historical process that has taken a massive form with the continuation of human innovation and technological progress.

The economic changes according to the globalization process are comprehensive. Many companies have established their factories with cheaper production rate in the world markets. In general, it is remarkable that there is a new tendency in “Thinking Global”. For instance, people are willing to learn more languages and get educated about other cultures. Countries formally known as undeveloped, such as India, are getting chances to be the main leader in a certain field. But no one can deny that the consequences for the less developed countries where economy flourished, based on availability of cheap employees are highly important. Globalization based on this facts brings environmental problems. Nowadays, because of globalization About 210 million people living outside their country. Migration has touched the lives of almost everyone in both the sending and receiving countries of the Global South and the Global North”. Because of advances made in technology, human beings as well as goods are able to move through different countries and regions with relative eases.

The process of globalization can be characterized both as homogeneous and heterogeneous. It Is ´double-edged’. On the one hand the world tends to be more and more homogenized Through changes of technology, involving nations, communities and people in a globalized System of knowledge and information exchange and markets for goods and finance. In this process the world is shrinking in physical terms with respect to flows of Knowledge, goods and finance through the world-wide operation of communication systems and of transnational corporations.

Globalization is not a new phenomenon. The period through the end of the 19th century was also characterized by extraordinary economic growth and global integration. But globalization was interrupted in the first half of the 20th century by a wave of protectionism and aggressive nationalism, which led to depression and world war. International economic and political integration was reversed, with severe consequences. Above all, Globalization is the integration of states through increasing contact, communication and trade to create a holistic, single global system in which the process of change increasingly binds people together in a common fate.
