Has UN achieved its goals?

The main mission of United Nations is to help countries which are torn by conflict, sustain peace in their places. Soldiers and military officers, civilian police officers and civilian personnel from many countries monitor and observe peace processes that emerge in post-conflict situations and assist ex-combatants in implementing the peace agreements they have signed.

UN has achieved their goals for many countries in different continents all around the world; Americas, Africa, Europe, and Middle East, but it failed to do so in few countries; (Kashmir and India, Israel and Palestine). From this we can say that even though UN are very powerful and supreme, they still cannot sustain peace in every place they interfere. I think that this happens because of the fact that some supreme countries which are included in UN, do not have any interest on resolving the conflicts, they want to pursue it, so they can benefit from it in their own ways.

Since UN’s interventions did not succeed in the two conflicts mentioned above, then their intervention is not always effective even though UN’s very powerful.
